Women of Color at Penn is a community of remarkable volunteers who come together to celebrate and promote causes that impact women. All individuals who support women of color, regardless of their sex, gender, race, or other status, are invited and encouraged to join the WOCAP community.

Welcome Statement

Women of Color at Penn welcomes individuals who support the recognition, advancement, leadership, and belonging of women of color across the University of Pennsylvania and the surrounding community. Whether you are interested in attending programs, networking, joining a committee, volunteering, or exploring future executive` leadership, WOCAP offers multiple ways to be involved.

Women of Color at Penn Planning Committee

Whether by lecture series, current research, health and finance leadership, the Queen’s Tea, or daylong celebrations and conferences, the WOCAP group has supported the community since 1988. This community has fostered a sense of belonging that all can appreciate.

The community welcomes you, and hopes that you will choose to participate in celebrating Women of Color at the University of Pennsylvania.

Choose Your Level of Involvement

Members may participate in different ways based on their interests and capacity.

General Member
Attend WOCAP events, professional development programs, happy hours, service opportunities, and the annual luncheon.

Committee Member
Join a committee and help support WOCAP programs, communications, awards, logistics, fundraising, orientation, leadership development, or annual luncheon planning.

Future Executive Committee Leader
After deeper involvement, members may consider committee leadership, executive committee service, or mentoring newer members.
